Living Cookbook
Want to get your recipes organized? I’ve explored dozens of ways to do it, and this is hands down the best. You’ll also be able to easily calculate the nutritional information and “points” for each recipe. You can stick with the basics or go all out and take advantage of the menu planning, grocery list or cookbook publishing areas of the software too. |

Calorie King
This is by far the best place on the web if you want to calorie count. It requires a (very) small fee, but it is money well spent, in my opinion, for the ease of the interface and for the time and aggravation it saves. |

SparkPeople
SparkPeople is the “My Space” for dieters. I really like it for the articles you can have delivered directly to your inbox. You can also food journal/calorie count at SparkPeople, but I found the interface cumbersome when compared to Calorie King. |

Real Age
Do you wonder how many calories you should be consuming? The Real Age website has a handy-dandy Base Metabolic Rate (BMR) calculator. This tells you how many calories you need to consume daily to maintain your current weight.
I’m always a little skeptical, knowing that every body is different. Usually I would recommend you count calories accurately and see how your body responds, instead of going strictly by the chart. |
